Stay Connected After Treatment
Treatment is just the start. Recovery is a lifelong journey, and staying connected with others who understand makes a big difference. MBH Onward offers ongoing resources and a supportive community for all Meadows Behavioral Healthcare alumni.
Alumni Programs Improve Recovery
Our alumni program plays a key role in supporting long-term well-being. Patients who stay engaged in activities like support groups and events see:
- Better mental health: Staying involved helps maintain emotional balance.
- Deeper connections: Engagement leads to more fulfilling relationships in personal life.
- Improved physical health: Staying connected encourages healthier habits.
- Ongoing support: Alumni programs provide continued encouragement and accountability.
- Sense of community: Helps reduce isolation and creates a supportive network.
- Long-term recovery: Staying engaged makes long-term recovery more likely.
What We Offer
Coaching
Our Onward Recovery Coaching program adapts to each person’s needs to meet them where they’re at, providing support where other options aren’t available. Each week, participants track their progress on a Journey Map, complete engaging activities, and connect with a Recovery Coach. With virtual groups and one-on-one guidance, it’s a simple way to stay focused on recovery.
Daily Virtual Groups
You can join online alumni gatherings seven days a week. In addition to our popular Recovery Enhancement Groups, we now offer interactive sessions, 12-step meetings, and specialty topics with activities like creative writing. We also offer sessions tailored to specific audiences such as men/women only, military members, parents in recovery, and more. All are free for MBH program graduates.
Dedicated Staff
We’re here to support your recovery long after treatment. New graduates receive outreach calls on their first day, week, and month out, plus a 90-day check-in. We’re also just a phone call away and offer special events, weekly support groups, and app content to keep you engaged.
Alumni Newsletters
Our monthly newsletters provide encouragement and updates on opportunities for alumni. You’ll find info about Meadows-trained therapists, mid-month affirmation emails, Facebook Live events, and other resources. We’ll never share or sell your email.
Alumni Events
Our Alumni Events, held at locations nationwide, focus on engagement and inspiration. Each event includes a recovery-related presentation and a creative project. These events are free, except for Alumni Weekend.
Mobile App
The MBH Onward app is for our alumni, offering 24/7 access to community, support, and resources like articles, podcasts, and interactive prompts. Members can also share status updates to keep up with one another. Available for iOS and Android.
Onward Allies
The Onward Ally initiative helps alumni connect and share their experiences with others in recovery. If you’ve been in recovery for six months or more and want to help support fellow alumni, you can become an Onward Ally.
Recovery Replay
Each episode of Recovery Replay shares honest stories and valuable insights from different sides of the recovery journey. Explore treatment and recovery through three perspectives: a treatment alum, a loved one, and a clinician.
